Job Description

NEW SIGMA SPORTS STORE - OAKHAM, RUTLAND

Established in 1992, Sigma Sports has evolved into the UK's number one Road Cycling and Triathlon independent retailer. This is an opportunity to join us at the beginning of an exciting new project as we look to open our second store in the beautiful market town of Oakham in Spring 2020.

We are actively recruiting staff now, ahead of the opening, as successful applicants will spend a few weeks at our flagship store in South West London, receiving full training, and more importantly, understanding our obsession for delivering industry-leading customer experience. All travel and accommodation costs will be covered.

In a brand new workshop, equipped with the latest tools and equipment, you’ll be working with the best cycling bike brands and products in the world.

Skills/Experience Required

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • The ideal candidate will be a conscientious, hard-working and dedicated individual who appreciates quality and attention to detail within a workshop environment
  • You will need to have a good technical and mechanical background on Road, Triathlon, Time Trial and mountain bikes
  • Have the ability to work in a time-efficient manner on all bikes including all varieties with electronic transmissions, hydraulic brakes
  • Qualified to Cytech level 2 or 3 is preferred, although specific training in all areas will be provided to the successful candidate
  • Assembly and inspection of complete box and custom bikes, frame prep, wheel building(not essential)/truing, etc
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve issues
  • General IT competency

HOURS

Full-Time: Five days per week to include Saturdays and alternate Sundays.

HOLIDAY

28 days holiday including bank holidays.
