Job Description

You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while helping manage the day-to-day operation of one of Derby's busiest independent bike shops.

This is a varied position combining retail sales, store leadership and e-commerce operations. You'll be equally comfortable advising customers in-store, processing online orders, coordinating stock deliveries and ensuring our website customers receive the same outstanding service as those who visit us in person.

Working alongside the management team, you'll help drive sales, maintain excellent store standards and ensure the business runs smoothly every day.

This position includes Key Holder responsibilities, with the opportunity to open and close the business and manage the store in the absence of senior management.

No two days are the same. One minute you'll be helping someone choose their first bike, the next you'll be processing online orders, booking new deliveries into stock, liaising with suppliers or supporting the workshop team.

Skills/Experience Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service in-store, over the phone and online.

  • Sell bicycles, e-bikes, accessories, clothing and workshop services.

  • Build long-term customer relationships through expert advice and product knowledge.

  • Help drive sales while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

  • Process online and click & collect orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Book in supplier deliveries and maintain accurate stock records.

  • Assist with stock control, inventory management and merchandising.

  • Ensure online orders are picked, packed and dispatched promptly.

  • Support product listings, website content and e-commerce administration.

  • Act as a Key Holder, opening and securing the premises.

  • Lead the team and oversee the store when managers are unavailable.

  • Maintain exceptional store presentation and housekeeping.

  • Handle customer enquiries, warranty claims and after-sales support professionally.

  • Work closely with the workshop team to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Assist with social media content and promotional campaigns where appropriate.

  • Represent Cyclo Monster professionally at all times.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience working within the cycling industry or a strong passion for cycling.

  • Previous retail sales experience with a proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.

  • Good IT skills and confidence using retail or e-commerce systems.

  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • The ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Confidence managing stock and processing customer orders accurately.

  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to take responsibility.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team.

Previous supervisory or management experience would be an advantage, but for the right candidate we can provide the training and support to help you develop into the role.
