Job Description

We are a growing cycle hire and retail business with four established locations in Warwickshire. Our newest and most exciting development is the creation of a cycling hub at Newbold Comyn in Leamington Spa, offering bike hire, servicing, retail, coaching, and events — all centred around purpose-built trails.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Cycle Shop Manager to lead the day-to-day operations at this location. It’s a role that is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is confident working with the public, staff, and key partners. As Shop Manager, you will oversee our retail and hire services, play a key role in trail management, event coordination, customer bike servicing, marketing activities and stakeholder engagement and represent the site at meetings with the local council and cycling clubs, helping to shape the site’s long-term development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing the daily operations of the shop, hire services, and trails.

- Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment.

- Leading a small team of staff, including mechanics and hire assistants.

- Overseeing and coordinating workshop servicing and repairs and working closely with mechanics.

- Helping to plan and deliver on-site events throughout the year.

- Supporting the delivery of coaching and activity sessions on-site.

- Liaising with stakeholders including the local council and attending regular progress meetings.

- Maintaining high standards of health and safety across all areas of the business.

- Reporting regularly to the Operations Manager on performance, issues, and opportunities.

Requirements:

- Cytech Level 2 qualification (minimum)

- Proven management experience in bicycle retail or associated leisure industries.

- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

- Confidence in stakeholder engagement and public-facing duties

- A hands-on, solutions-focused attitude

- Passion for mountain biking, cycling in general, the outdoors, and community-driven projects

- Flexibility to work weekends and support events as required

- Knowledge of health and safety practices in public or outdoor spaces

Benefits:

Contributary company pension

  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Employee discount
  • Free on-site parking
  • Flexible working hours
  • First aid training provided
  • Opportunity to be part of a fast-growing community-focused business

Job Type: Full-time
