Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Bicycle Mechanic with expertise in servicing and repairing electric bikes and cargo bikes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cycling and possess specialised knowledge in servicing and repairing electric and cargo bikes, with a specific focus on VanMoof bikes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics and provide basic and full services and maintenance on all e-bikes and cargo bikes.
- Provide bicycle checks to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate electric or cargo bike models and accessories, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in electric and cargo bicycles.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical support and assistance during customer interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Skills/Experience Required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years as a bicycle mechanic with at least 1 year focused on servicing electric bikes.
- Strong technical knowledge of electric bike systems, including motors, batteries, controllers, and wiring.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for cycling and commitment to delivering high-quality service to customers.
- Servicing of VanMoof bikes is desirable.
- A driving licence is desirable.
