Job Description

Biketart is looking for a new full time team member for our growing workshop business at our south Canterbury location. You will be working on repairs, new builds and custom builds.
We have a large customer base with all bike types passing through the workshop but with a lean towards top end mountain bikes.
We have an open workshop and the role will also involve sales and advice to in-store customers.
There is potential to develop into a more senior and strategic role for the right candidate.

Skills/Experience Required

Role & responsibilities:
  • Repairs and servicing on a wider range of bikes from high end mountain bikes to tricycles (only occasionally!)
  • Custom builds
  • Wheel building
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
  • Maintaining an organised and efficient workshop calendar
  • Communication with our workshop and store customers
  • Providing comprehensive advice to customers on the best solutions
  • Sales of bikes, accessories, clothing and components.
The candidate needs to be:
  • Passionate about cycling, especially mountain biking
  • A reliable, dedicated and conscientious individual that has a keen attention to detail
  • Hugely organised, capable of scheduling workshop jobs, ensuring parts deliveries arrive on time
  • Good communication skills, confident with face-to-face, phone and email
  • IT confident for working in our tech-driven online and retail environment
  • Trained to Cytech 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
  • A driver with a clean licence as there can be requirements to drive between stores.
