What is Cycling For Rangers?
Cycling For Rangers is a group of four friends; Charlie, Will, Will and Theo, who are setting off on a journey from Johannesburg to Nairobi to raise awareness and funds in support of park rangers across Africa.
The snaking route they've put together will see them travel more than 8,000km through 9 countries and 10 national parks, enabling the team to meet and speak to the rangers on the front-line in the war against poaching. Documenting everything as they go they'll be creating a platform giving those they meet a voice and the chance to be heard, collating a first-hand account of the challenges faced and the ways in which they can be supported. The result will be a feature length documentary sharing a story that needs to be told.
In preparation for the challenge the guys attended a Cytech home mechanic course to give them the vital skills they need to look after their bikes while out in Africa. In support of the cause the course was generously provided by one of Cytech's UK training providers ATG Training. Check out the news story here.
