Bikesoup
The UK's premier marketplace for new & used bicycles
Bikesoup is a bike specific marketplace for buying & selling, new & used bicycles in the UK.
Bikesoup aims to be the UK's premier online hub for anyone wanting to buy or sell a bicycle. The website has been designed with an easy to use interface for both buyers and sellers.
Currently, the way most people buy and sell used bikes is through bike forums and auction sites. However, the diversity of bike forums, and the unattractive sellers' fees charged on auction sites can make buying and selling a bike a challenging and expensive process, generating too many unproductive enquiries.
Bikesoup have produced comprehensive and informative guides that help buyers and sellers alike, including information about avoiding stolen bikes and the recommended process for buying a used bike. Bikesoup includes a 10- Point checklist to assist in the buying procedure for a used bicycle.
The bike listing pages are nice and clean with room for plenty of images of the bike, and there's a five star (well, five bike) rating system for frame and component condition, how close it is to the original specification and how much documentation comes with the sale.

Buying a bike?
Thanks to Bikesoup you can now see bikes on the retail shop floor from this site. Use the Bike Business Search and 'Bikes for sale on Bikesoup' filter option to access pictures, descriptions and prices of bikes for sale throughout the UK.
For buyers, the Bikesoup website is a nice friendly interface that provides a range of search options to find the right bike for you. You can search by type of bike, price or distance from the seller, amongst others and once you have your results you can refine them by any of the other search criteria.
If you like the look of one of the machines on offer you can email the seller, or 'park it' in the 'myBikesoup' section of the site that allows you to keep track of the stuff you've seen and like.
