Cytech Technical One
Cytech One is the foundation of all the Cytech Technical courses and ensures candidates develop core competencies in skills fundamental to professional cycle maintenance.
What does this course include?
Cytech Technical One is intended to be the minimum standard to which all mechanics should work and includes theory and practical training and assessment in the following areas:
- Health & safety in the workshop
- Workshop practice
- British Standard EN 14764:2005
- Pre Delivery Inspection
- Frame alignment and preparation
How long is the course?
There are two parts to Cytech One, both need to be completed to receive the full Cytech Technical One qualification.
- Cytech Technical One Theory
- Cytech Technical One Practical
Cytech Technical One Theory can be completed as a distance learning course from the comfort of your own home, it can be purchased from the ACT and you will receive a Cytech Technical One Theory certificate when you pass.
Cytech Technical One Practical can be completed with either ATG Training or PJCS Training and takes two days, a Cytech Technical One Practical certificate will be issued when you pass.
To gain the full Cytech Technical One qualification both the Cytech Technical One Practical and the Cytech Technical One Theory modules need to be completed.
The two parts (Theory and Practical) can be taken together as one course at PJCS Training which takes three days.
Do I have to do all the training?
If the candidate is competent in bicycle maintenance a one day assessment is available at both ATG Training and PJCS Training. It is recommended that you contact the training provider to discuss this option before booking.
