Distance Learning Course

Cytech Induction is a theory-based course designed as an introduction to bike maintenance which can be completed via distance learning.

Cytech Induction is available to members of the public and cycle shop employees.

A further practical assessment is available to upgrade this course to a full Cytech Technical One qualification.

What does this course include?

The distance learning course incorporates the following workshop skills and is managed and assessed by the Association of Cycle Traders direct:

• Health & Safety
• Workshop Practices
• British Standards 6102:1 1992
• Torque Wrenches
• Lubricants and Greases
• Pre-Delivery Inspection
• Tyres & Tubes
• Consumer Protection Act

The Cytech Induction Module is provided as a complete standalone course incorporating full information and multiple choice questions on all the workshop skill areas above.

The course can be completed very quickly and certified within 6 weeks. However candidates have up to 6 months within which to complete the course and return it for marking. The distance learning format enables candidates to develop their skills whilst completing the accreditation.

Every candidate who passes the course receives a Cytech Induction certificate of achievement.

Candidates who have passed the Induction Course are eligible to take a practical module enabling them to upgrade their accreditation to the Cytech Technical One qualification, via our recognised training providers.
